See the boxed laxative ingredient warning as well as the following: Do not use during pregnancy, while nursing, long-term (in-excess of 8-10 days), or in excess of recommended amounts.
Not recommended for children less than 12 years of age, in cases of intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain, inflammatory condition of the intestines (appendicitis, colitis, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel, etc.), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, lack of appetite, peptic ulcers, hemorrhagic disease, spleen deficiency, diabetes, hypertension, liver disorder, severe kidney insufficiency, and hypokalemia; may potentiate potassium depletion of thiazide diuretics and stimulant laxatives, as well as the action of cardiac glycosides, and cortisol.
Use with caution during menstruation, post partum, or in cases of kidney stones or blood deficiency.
